pro-israel arguments?

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-03 2:06

i might be starting a shitstorm here, but i'm genuinely curious. every time the topic of whether israel is a legitimate nation comes into discussion, one tends to hear the argument that israel is not a legitimate nation, as it was created (at least partially) by the guilt over the holocaust and lobbying from zionists, without regarding the wishes of the native palestinians already living in the region.

i find that a lot of the arguments of pro-israel advocates (jewish homeland, jewish religious sites, jewish, jew, jewish) is often one-sided, always speaking of the jews. personally, i disagree with most of the pro-israel arguments - palestine may have been the traditional home of the jews, but it is also the home of the palestinians.

i believe that the only legitimate argument for the existence of israel is that there are jews living there already, and it would be a hypocrisy and also a disgrace to humanity to persecute them yet again by kicking them out. i'm curious as to whether there are any other pro-israel arguments, and hopefully, a helpful anonymous who is more informed about the middle east than i am can shed light on the issue.

Ancient Egypt, Athens, Persia, Rome, Roman Empire, Ming Dynasty, Gengeis Khan, Aztecs, Myans, Incans...

no nation has "the right" to exist.  Israel has too many pressures.  It needs to compromise or die.
