This is all well and good and for the most part I agree, but I think it's important to keep in mind that a lot of the animosity felt towards American slavery has little to do with the act of slavery itself and more to do with dehumanization and civil rights injustices that perpetuated and still perpetuate themselves to this very day.

Colonialism was built upon the backs of not non-whites, but on the back of whites themselves. I can understand your need to feel pride for the entire race, but if you even glance over history it's clear that those in power weren't really concerned with "continuing the majesty of the white race".
