I am very concerned about women's issues and women's rights. We need more courses in women's issues and women's rights for young women and we need a president who will be an advocate for women! I think it is rather refreshing that we are having a discourse on who will be the best candidate for women for a change! Hillary is right on!
So, who do you think is the best candidate for women's issues and women's rights? Hillary is the obviously pick! Having a woman in the white house will be good for women across the country and will show women that women can rule even the highest office in the land! Hillary has been a leading advocate for women, reducing violence against women by leading efforts to ban guns and pornography, and will work to keep abortion safe for women! Hillary is the only one who can beat the far right anti-women candidates who want to take away womens rights and push their male-chauvinist agenda! It is time for a woman in the white house! It is time for Hillary!
Hillary is endorsed by the National Organization for Women and will promote womens rights! Empower women! Vote Hillary in 2008! http://www.now.org/press/03-07/03-28.html

Personally I don’t have anything wrong with a female president, the US needs one really. But putting Hillary in the position of “first female president” is the worst idea ever.
She isn’t even about women’s empowerment. Yes, she does help out the public, but that means men too.
The only thing that sets her apart from Obama or any of the other democratic candidates is the fact that she has a vagina (which hasn’t really been proven…) her platform only partially includes women’s rights. And she hasn’t really spoken out about the most important topics. She uses round about tactics to wedge her way around setting a firm opinions on anything.
Is that really the woman you want in the history books as the first female president?
Sure we should have one, and she’s running so it seems clear that you should vote for her, but she isn’t the right person. And there are better candidates, just because they happen to be male doesn’t mean anything. If you think a woman can do the job as president just as well as a man can, then what’s the difference for now? Wait for a better female representative.
And wait….BAN pornography?!?!? How is that a good thing? I’m confused.

Why does the US 'need' a female president? I think we need a GOOD president. I don't care if it is a woman or not.
The dumbassed Dems are expecting "Hitlery" to be the next Prez. What completely stupid fuckasses! SENATORS DON'T WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE! In the modern age, you have to be some sort of political executive to win; that means you have to be (or have been) a Governor or a VP. All the Repubs need to do to win is run a faintly moderate, largely rightwing, Governor.

If you aren't sexist against males or racist against whites you are racist. You see there is a balance and it is in white male favour, so we must tip the balance by being racist ourselves.

anyone who selects celine dion for their campaign theme song does not have my vote. A strong female leader would be great for america, but no one who likes celine dion will ever have my support.
EVER.
If thats misogynistic consider me a woman hating bastard. Id rather get in a nuclear war and die painfully then support bad taste.

Discrimination can be good or bad. For instance people's jobs and money depends on the efficiency of the executives you employ, on the other hand employing a couple of black executives even if they are less qualified than white applicants will make young black males in the ghetto feel good about themselves and maybe go to school more often and that matters more than jobs and money. People who care about jobs and money are greedy and evil.

So by that logic putting white males on sports teams when there's a better black male available will make more whites want to play sports professionally. Also people who care about their team winning sporting events are greedly and evil.

The purpose of school should be to indoctrinate people so they are not racist or sexist and to be progressive and also to provide them with opportunities to express themselves.

Thank god for Hillary. Apparently women are defenseless without her. She has saved them from the shackles of...wait, never mind, they enjoy the same freedoms as all Americans. Plus, they get the benefits of all those affirmative action/preferential treatment government programs that men and other people don't have access to.

Seriously, the only reason why you would want to vote for her is because you want to see a change in scenery. I am tired of stupid people in this world who just want to see something different... then is tragically disappointed *cough*Windows Vista*cough*. You talk about wanting to Empower Women... for what exactly? Not only do you have the same EXACT rights as men, you are also given benefits for just being a woman. How about you do you're homework before you start talking about something you hardly know what your talking about. Now go slap you're parents, friends, and other family because they have filled your mind with shit. No no... they cut off your head and defecated in you're lungs.

here here! "let's see some change" is one of the dumbest slogans. i don't care if you're conservative or not. just because things are changing does not mean that's good. people should vote for who they think is the best candidate, not who they think is different and neat. it doesn't matter if they're female, black, chinese, purple. you vote for the best candidate
>>104
Yeh, sing it! What possible fucking change? Hitlery supports the war and supports globalism. That means she's 100% behind the fucking of 90% of the people who will be voting in 2008. That means she's effectively 99% like the Republican candidate, whoever he will be. Americans still don't prefer "Republican Lite". When it comes to rightwing stupidity, they prefer the real brand.
Anyone who thinks Hitlery Clinton has a chance in the race is completely full of shit. She's a Senator, and Senators don't win the Presidential race anymore. Americans want someone with executive experience ... and NO, you don't get that by being the First Lady.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. I fucking hate that evil gun grabbing bitch, but it looks like she's going to be the next president. A lot of people are going to vote for her just because she is a woman too. Many people I talk to are saying "its time to have a woman in the white house, hillary 08," etc etc. Although fortunately, I have seen more Ron Paul bumper stickers and signs in my area than Hillary stickers! Get your Ron Paul bumper stickers and signs: http://www.ronpaul2008store.com/servlet/StoreFront
Hitlery will be running against a fresh-faced Fascist, not the old order. This fresh face will bleat the stupid Repub selling points (largely, "911!" and "fuck the homos") and about half of America will vote for him.
Do you imagine Dems will "rock the vote" any more than they allegedly did in 2000 and 2004? Give me a fucking break.
>>108
One yuppie listening to the coffee-shop conversation of other yuppies does NOT represent the way America votes. You act like a lot of Repubs are going to vote for Hitlery herself. That's just DAFT.
But many people think that Bush = Republican, and will thus not vote for Republican candidates in the next election cycle due to their dislike of Bush.
>>111
Well, obviously I can't speak for the larger environment of complete fucking asshole stupidity on the part of the body politic. Although I've not particularly detected such, if millions of Repubs go to the polls with some sort of anger against Bush, then what you say is true. HOWEVER, it's largely true that angst or no, the country's voters are still 49/49 (with 2% dissenting by votes for third parties) for Dem/Repub, and elections are being swung not by folks jumping from one party to the next, but by larger turnouts from one side.
In other words, if the Repubs show their hatred of Bush, they will largely STAY HOME ... not vote for a Dem or even a left-leaning Repub.
i hate all of them, im moving to an island someday where i wont have to deal with lying politicians lying and talking around issues i dont give a shit about, and ignoring the ones i do
