I would like to start an organization that considers itself a country without borders that resides on the Internet, with each member being citizen who pays taxes in a currency backed by commodity markets including gold, silver, oil, lumber, and precious gems.  With enough tax, and enough productivity from citizens, the country can build wealth and power through establishing relationships with other organizations.  There may be a militia of some kind, but it would run the risk of being labeled a terrorist organization, and would need to keep a solid image of peacekeeping and security.  Culture, literature, research and education would be promoted as an outlet of free speech and learning if the physical country proves to be ineffective.  Citizenship will provide an alternative to debt based US currency, media censorship, surveillance, and other issues present in the physical country.

Consider international corporations, fraternities, churches, non profit and humanitarian organizations, and any other organization that exists with multiple chapters throughout the world.  However, rather than coerce people to give money, people are expected to recognize capitalism as a means to helping yourself and others philanthropically, while being financially successful without resorting to scams, loans, or exploitation.
