Regarding the old lady who died in a police raid in Georgia.... it turns out they PLANTED THE DRUGS to cover up their screw-up.

"Its" in that context is possessive, therefore there you shouldn't include an apostrophe. It's not the same as the contraction for the words "it" and "is", which does have an apostrophe. If you can't even differentiate between the two then go back to grade school.
