Optimisic nuts

So /newpol/ is it true that conservatives tend to be crazy optimistic types that believe in 'liberty' and 'free choice,' while libs are always complaining about the state of things?

I can end this argument in that this country is socially and politically backwards.  Once the government and corporations fear the people, problem solved.
