It's an obscenity in America -- the definitive land of liberty -- that a plant family and their usage have been illegalized.  Further, this illegalization remains in place despite having been placed there largely due to some Robber Baron of old, namely William R. Hearst.  His war on marijuana was conducted solely since the plant was a serious threat to his paper businesses.  Hemp paper is a great alternative to the wood-pulp base we have used for over a century.

Americans should pull their heads out of their asses and deal with the real concept of individual liberty.  If you toke a joint in your own home, it's simply none of anyone's business.

I find it laughable at best that the hemp industry is still illegal in America, since there's no Hearst around to bother, and that there's no drug usage for hemp.  Bad ideas really persist in the American mind (or more accurately, the LACK OF IT).

(And no, I don't use marijuana ... and you couldn't pay me enough to touch the nasty stuff.  But I have no right to stop other citizens from indulging in it.)
