Stop Amnesty Now!

May 17) Today, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and other Senate negotiators announced an agreement with the Bush Administration on an amnesty/guestworker bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) set a May 21 cloture vote on S. 1348, a bill like last year’s Senate amnesty-laden bill (S. 2611) that Reid considers a placeholder for the compromise bill. Most Republicans are now expected to support Reid’s motion to proceed, which will enable him to bypass the normal committee process and place that bill directly on the Senate Calendar. It would subsequently be amended to include the compromise bill.

Although the legislative language is not available yet, key components of the “compromise” include:
An immediate amnesty for nearly all 12-20 million illegal aliens who will get legal status for residence and jobs (with the assurance of getting green cards no later than 13 years);
Mandatory workplace verification and some extra enforcement to try to slow the flow of the next 12 million illegal aliens enticed by the amnesty;
Tripling of the rate of chain migration of extended family from around 250,000 a year to around 750,000 a year for about a decade; and
New flows of 400,000 temporary foreign workers each year, bringing their families and having anchor babies who will be given U.S. citizenship.

"An immediate amnesty for nearly all 12-20 million illegal aliens who will get legal status for residence and jobs"

Why is this as bad thing? Now Americans wont get the shitstick when blue collar company owners don't go under the table for illegals. It'll force them to pay the minimum wage and thus, destroy any incentive for them to be favored.
