-for selfish reasons: the novelty of a mini-me, continuing bloodlines, a safety net when you're a geriatric

-to bestow the world with the next einstein or newton (though the odds of that are low)

is anyone else sick of hearing people patting themselves on their backs for having children? as if it's some kind of contribution to society? it's very annoying to hear people complain about how hard parenthood is. if they can't handle it, they should not have had em in the first place! personally, i don't care at all if anonymous #123 shits out another human being.

obviously this isnt directed to any 4chaners since having children would require some kind of copulation. so here's a more relevant topic: do you feel obliged to do whatever your parents say because they gave you the gift of life?

Yup. It's a shame so many people fool themselves with the notion of life having a meaning. In reality we are all nothing, a manifestation of a very long and complex chain of events set in motion by the big bang. Our life and death is just another falling domino in a looooong chain.

Personally I can't stand when people go apeshit over babies. Theyre so cuuute blah blah fucking blah. No, they fucking aren't. They are disgusting little bags of flesh that exist ONLY to respire, shit and cry. Get over it. They will be a burden upon you for like 16 years until they can finally do something intelligent of their own, which you can at least try to believe has some meaning.

Which is why people with ultra strong morals or religious beliefs piss me off: You mean nothing. I don't give a fuck if you aren't having sex till marriage, and neither does any fucker else. You're just missing out.

Yes, I acknowledge also that this very post I am making has no meaning. I was predestined to d this and always have been: It is the result of the collision of atoms  and amino acids etc, part of the universal chain reaction... But there you go.

Just because your tiny mind doesn't want to believe it has no significance (a survival mechanism at that) doesn't mean you actually do.
