Large bipedal predatorial dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus branched off from small agile bipedal predatorial dinosaurs like the Eoraptor and it was such small agile bipedal predatorial dinosaurs that evolved into archaeopterix and other birds. Chickens did not evolve from Tyrannosaurs, they are however their distant cousins.
