Wake up and realise you are not intellectuals who are the only ones who are trying to solve the world's problems and only a minute proportion of people who disagree with you are actually evil capitalists.

Your complaining usually revolves around people who have a polar world view and believe you are either with them or against them and refuse to accept criticism, then you turn around and do exactly the same! The majority of people who disagree with you possess the same moral fibre as you, they are just more mature than you. It was Churchill, the man who saved the world from fascist dictatorship, who said that if you are still a liberal by the time you are 30 you must be sufferring from a serious mental disability. It has been a renowned fact for decades that liberals want to do good, but are too stupid to find any realistic solutions and easily succumb to extremism. If you are under 20 and a liberal, that's fine, learn the error of your ways and move on. If you are a troll, no u. If you are over 20 you are too stupid to help make the world a better place, sorry.

The OP is attacking liberals, he isn't defending a particular ideal. You are mistaking the current situation in Europe with the situation in Europe 80 years ago and also forgetting that politics in Britain was much different to politics in the rest of europe. There was in fact an extensive socialist movement in Britain resulting from widespread poverty and later the great depression, the term liberal was used to refer to them.
