If you're never going to find something out what's the point of coming up with answers for it and trying to get everyone to believe them? Best just to say "I don't know" and concentrate on seeing if you can find out other things. I think maybe religions don't like scientists because they think scientists are lazy for trying to answer questions that can be answerred.

 After 2 thousand years of faith there is little danger of science taking its place. From the looks of the global warming debate I think science is in more trouble than religion. It would appear that science is asking for results to be taken on faith.
 In any case, since science can't disprove God, Faith will not disappear.
