9/11 changed America in one huge way that people forgot about in America:They could be attacked any second. The last time this attitude reside in soceity was during the Cold War, but their are two major differences 1)Something was actually attacked 2)It wasn't a nation, it was a terrorist. So started the propaganda bullshit lie that they hate us for our freedom, and because the American population is amnesic it forgot about what really was going on in the Middle East during the Cold War. So people give up their individualist '90s lifestyle and individualist rights because their afraid, we become this collective secure nation. Nationalism becomes extremely popular and who ever doesn't fit in to the nationalist is a terrorist. This causes a rise in religion because people fear and they give up something when their afraid. Essentially 9/11 is a war on rights.
To sum it up in a equation
Fear+Propaganda+Nationalism-Rights(through Religion and Law)=America.
