Racial discrimination = American value?

In Brown v Board of Education[5], activist judges stripped the power of the states to treat black Americans as second class citizens. Using the definition above, Liberal judges should not have struck down the ability to segregate whites and blacks, because racial discrimination is a core conservative American value.

"is" should read "was", in all fairness to social conservatives.  But yes, your point is well taken.  The definition of Judicial Activism that is commonly called upon in arguments for conservative positions falls prey to precisely such criticism.  There are many important and beneficial judicial decisions in our country's history that, in their day, would have been defined as "liberal activism".

But 100 years of racial discrimination can be directly attributed to the Democratic Party.
