Humanity, as a whole, has a disturbing tendency to offer up responsibility to people whose main reason for taking it on is that a) no one will ever actually hold them "responsible," and b) with imagined responsibility comes real power. World leaders have power because their subjects give them that power, and the type of people who take that power are the type of people you least want to have that power. If it were at all convenient (read, possible), I would, right now, be working toward the assembly of every world leader into one room, and then nuke the room.
