US becoming a single-party state

Your opinion doesn't count if you don't consider yourself a Democrat or Republican.

But if you do consider yourself a Democrat or Republican, do you honestly wish that the opposing party be completely erased from the US, making the party of your choice the party with like 90+ & of the political power in the country?  Say if you're a Democrat, do you think it'll be a good idea if all the Republicans suddenly disappeared tomorrow?  Or having an opposing party, even if you don't really agree with the majority of their ideologies, will help keep things in check?

We need 3 partys, and each party needs a slight makeover.

Greens and Dems should merge and form a socialist party, similar to the british workers party.

Neo Conservatives take over the republican party and would represent national socialism. It would be akin to what the nazi's had but less radical and without the mainstreem racism.

Libertarians would represent the new right, both economically and socially.

Then i would be happy with american politics. As of now i have no idea what ideals are governing our political partys, they seem lack in structure and forum.
