What's wrong with requiring background checks before the purchase of a firearm?  Would it not make the distribution and tracking of that firearm more reliable?  And that 1% statistic, are there further reports to support it?

I ask because I really want to know.  Someone please convince me, because I really don't feel that the inability to buy a weapon at a gun show equates to a denial of my 2nd amendment rights.  I can still buy a gun at any number of places, right?

Don't even bother. That line has been in the 2nd amendment since it was established, and the majority of NRA members STILL don't know it exists. Those that do just deny it.

Um that makes fucking sense, a background check keeps guns away from crimnals.
