I found it amusing how many of those 16 principles for recognizing extremism apply to GW. Especially the "with me or against me" one. Is this article biased or is Bush a maniac?

We're all a little extremist. It depends on the magnitude. How extreme is Bush?

according to this, very extremist

I don't think GW is extreme, but many neocons are and its scares the shit out of me.

But if you look at that site, he does indeed do many of the things listed, such as defining himself by his enemies, claiming you're with us or against us, visceral emotional responses, buzzwords and rhetoric, etc.

GW talks to g*d/YHWH (not father of christ) every day. And this g*d tells him to let young american soldiers getting killed for gande jewrusalim. This isn't extreme ?

>>4 www.c2ore.com has a slew of stuff on the story of the neo-cons. The term is overused but they have had a significant impact on the world.

I don't quite understand neo-conservatism as an extremist group. They just seem like McCarthyists to me, people who think the US is under threat,

1. Character Assassination - most politicians do this

2. Name Calling And Labeling - ditto

3. Irresponsible Sweeping Generalizations. - ditto

4. Inadequate Proof For Assertions - some politicians will do this, especially in speeches and such

5. Advocacy Of Double Standards - the US basically operates on a double standard, "we can have nukes but you can't. We can attack countries we want to but you can't!"

6. Extremists Tend To View Their Opponents And Critics As Essentially Evil - Bush anyone?

7. Extremists Tend To Have A Manichean Worldview - usually most political rhetoric steers this way to simplify things for the idiot masses

8. Extremists Very Often Advocate Some Degree Of Censorship And Repression Of Their Opponents And Critics - some of the crazier politicians do this, although a lot don't advocate for censorship and claim to love free speech

9. Extremists Tend To Identify Themselves In Terms Of Who Their Enemies Are - Bush does it but most politicians don't, I dont think...

10. Extremists Are Given To Arguments By Intimidation - the republicans

11. Wide Use Of Slogans, Buzzwords And Thought-Stopping Cliches - this IS politics

12. Doomsday Thinking - republicans

13. Extremists Often Claim Some Kind Of Moral Or Other Superiority Over Others - both republicans and democrats. The social conservatives using religiously derived superiority and the social liberals use "equality" derived superiority.

14. Extremists Tend To Believe That It's OK To Do Bad Things In The Service Of A "Good" Cause - Everybody who ever went into a war ever?

15. Extremists Tend To Place Great Value On Emotional Responses - politicians use this all the time

16. Some Extremists, Particularly Those Involved In "Cults" Or - WTF?

All politicians do that, neocons however are more like junior fascists. >>7 said the term is overused and hes right, most conservatives and republicans are no where near neocon status.

Most neocons can’t actually get into office (thankfully) but seem to have influence on ordinary conservatives and republicans. In the same way straight-line socialists cant get into office but have influence on the democrats

This is how fascist’s view people of other races, they do not give them the status of man and therefore do not give them the benefits. They instead give them the status of my cat.

Bush isn't half-bad compared to our past leaders. The problem is that you TV-attention-span liberals don't remember what the past was like.

>>12 The last nice president was Kennedy, it seems. Johnson tried to have the Great Society and a poorly handled was simultaneously. Nixon was sick and started the crusade on drugs. Don't get me started on Raygun. Clinton did some good things but he paved the way for the gigantic executive catastrophuck that is Bush. Carter fucked the economy while continuing the sick treatment of South America. Have I forgotten somebody?

Your cat has it made: food, warmth, safety.

Well, besides for the brutal sodomy.
