i had to lol when I heard that Ethiopians had taken the Somali capital. seriously, they're all starving- it can't have been much of a fight.

This might end up ok. Somalia is a patchwork of small tyrannies and Ethiopia has a history of dealing with such things. Ethiopia's been through the whole transition from collective security to collective defense and it seems their representative republic is organically centralising permitting a more universal system of law. With Ethiopia's close ties with Somalia and their support of the interim government over the thugs who's dominance over Ethiopia is crumbling may lead to further stability as less zealous bands of thugs join the winning side.
