Gender Equality

I was kindof shocked when I read this at how true it was.  Why does society ignore sexist comments against men, while viciously attacking sexist comments against women?

I was particularly shocked by the far higher rate of male suicide than female suicide... wow.

My mum used to phone the police on me all the time when I was a teenager. Once I called her a bitch, and she called the police and went "Help my soning is trying to kill me" I spent time in a police cell, and then got put in care.

An other time my my mum hit my over the head with an african wooden mask. Due to the fact my mum used to phone the police all the time, and bullshit to them I decided to get my own back, and I phoned the police on her.

You know what my mum did to get off? She cried; and pretended to be sorry. The police wouldnt press charges.

Its a good thing I stay away from my mum, because I got loads of supressed anger towards her.

It seems to be woman have a lot of power over a man, if she wants to get him in troubled.

Feminism is stupid because it is completely one-sided.  There are many inequalities or injustices perpetrated on both sexes that need to be addressed, and the dismal failure of feminists to address the issues and concerns of men should be condemned. 

Considering this, I don't think feminists are really concerned with actual equality between the sexes so much as they are with improving the lives of women generally, and ONLY women.

For ex., why are feminists concerned only with female genital mutilation, while many completely ignore the systemic mutilation that male babies must go through?

Just an example, but a blatantly obvious one.  Of course, some who call themselves 'feminists' truly do support equality, but in my experiance, 99% of 'feminists' are concerned with women & women's issues only, and are thus sexist assholes in my book.

That coming from a *woman* who's tired of all this PC bullshit.  All my life I've been a tomboy- hanging with the guys, playing sports (and taking almost as many injuries as I gave), becoming a computer nerd - and because of that, I was treated as their peer.  That's equality.  What you want is different.  You want to be paid more because the average man gets paid more.  Here's a thought: they're getting paid more because they typically do more work.  Most women do stereotypical woman things at work like make personal phone calls and hang around chatting all day and complain when they don't get a raise for it.  What you want is for men to treat you as a superior, simply because in the past women were treated differently.  Fuck that, that's like those lazy black people (some of them anyway) who hang around all day bitching about the white man keeping them down and going on and on about compensation for their slave ancestors instead of getting a fucking education and a job.  (Note that I'm not racist or anything.)
