What you keep ignoring is the part where a majority of whites in this country are systematically better off financially than a majority of the blacks. Whites have always had an obvious advantage over blacks (and non-whites) in this country due to events in history. This is

Thirdly, I look at it like this: Either help 90% of the American black population with this one small advantage (while whites still have so many other advantages)

Don't help, because you want to protect 10% of the white population.
