Athiesm

Atheism has no church, no preachers, no canonized scriptures.  It cannot spread memetically like Christianity because it lacks these meme producing structures.  It also lacks a spiritual or supernatural reward.  How could Atheism become more popular, more widespread, and more acknowledged without appearing as a sect, a cult, or its own religion?

We are moving towards that point, but we aren't there yet. The power of the Catholic church is a big example. IMO, church and state should be completely separate, but I don't think large centralized religions need too/should die out. I happen to like religion, although I am not spiritual at all. I believe in God, but I live my life according to science and facts. Contraceptives, legal abortions, evolution, pre-marital sex, all that good stuff. Also,

Communism doesn't always fail. The Native Americans had pretty much a communist utoptia. In today's world, Communism doesn't work, but Capitalism has some big flaws too.
