With the D.C. crime rate spiralling completely out of control in light of their stringent gun control schemes, the people turn to a somewhat Orwellian solution:
The police are all too eager to invade people's privacy when it comes to "security", but whenever private citizens record police on streets to protect against abuse of authority they get all bitchy and complain about "not being able to do their job" and shit. And they wonder why nobody respects them.
