Should gay marriage be allowed?

Name: Anonymous 2006-07-06 2:16

>>1 a better question would be should gays get the same benefits to marriage in their gay marriages as normal people do in their marriages?

Some people believe only male-female marriages should be allowed for their traditional purpose of helping and encouraging couples to raise children properly.

Some people believe that any 2 people should be able to marry and that gender is irrelevant since if they are responsible 2 men or 2 women can raise children and deserve the same rights as heterosexual couples.

Some people believe that only same-gender couples should be allowed to marry, it's a big country.

So far we have supporters for sexual-specific marriage laws, sexual-unspecific marriage laws, so one last opinion remains.

No marriage laws!

This is the correct opinion, people should be free to make deals they want and they can call it the marriage between Mr/Ms A and Mr/Ms B, however there is no reason to have special laws giving people tax breaks or whatever for marrying.

>>3 I don't want any marriage laws either when I think about it. I recognize the family as a very important basis of a stably psyche but I would actually be ashamed if my parent would have pissed away $ 1000 on some boring ritual just to be like everyone else. Thank Satan my dad isn't traditional and that my mom's brain wasn't impregnated with lame dreams of princess marriage and pretty dresses. Fuck marriage altogether. No I'm not being ironic.

>>1 Yes... otherwise I'll never get married :'( And how can be ever so pretty, witty and gay without getting married ?

Bah, I say let people even marry their pets if they want. No need for specific laws.

>>6  I agree.  There's too many laws as it is.  We need to start getting rid of them.

>>1 Yes.  Only neo-puritanical religious faggots think it shouldn't.
