Govt Health Care

Tax supported national health care programs are a really horrible idea..

Why should responsible citizens who eat right, exercise, and take care of themselves have to bear the same burden of the national bill as those who smoke, drink, and eat like shit?

The beauty of the free enterprise system and a free market, is that people's actions affect THEM.  Having the community foot the bill for people's health care is a departure from a society with a healthy respect for individual accountability.

        Well you were still paying government employees.  That isn't the corruption of a private organization, that is the corruption of a socialized government organization.  I never said that local security shouldn't be socialized.  Government sponsored security is necessary in order for a community to function.  However, If I did believe in privatizing the Fire department as you imply, your argument would work in favor of my opinion not against it.  This is because you prove that socialized programs sponsored by the government can be easily corrupted, as those fire departments were social programs sponsored by the government, I have never heard of a private fire department that paid for by purchasing insurance from them.
