You find me a politician that isn't corrupt and i will show you someone who is just as much an asshole and probobly more a problem than a corrupt politican. Hitler wasn't corrupt, and was actualy one of the most honest politicans in the past century, I would still vote for a corrupt american politican over him. Corruption doesn't make one a bad politican, in fact it is probably a requirement to be much of a politican at all. Nixon was a great politican, and did many things to help the nation, but was doubtlessly one of the most corrupt inidividuals ever to hold the office. When politicans get cought in the act they should be prossecuted and impeached, no need to incourage the corruption after all. However, don't pretend that just because we haven't caught the other politicans they are clean. Politicans are by nature dishonest individuals, same as lawyers and businessmen. It is necessary to function in those environments. Businessmen need to lie to keep the competition off of what the fuck they are doing. Lawyers need to defend guilty opponents sometimes. And these two people are more likely to become politicans than any other group of people. Dishonesty comes with the job, and corruption comes with dishonesty. Honest local politicans are fairly easy to come across, however those people either never get anywhere, or become corrupt and dishonest in order to get there.
