You talk like it's the land itself that everyone's concerned about. The Mexicans aren't coming here because of the land. They didn't just say "Hmm, I think I'd be a lot happier up in a cooler climate with more trees." They want to live in America because of what Americans *made* out of this land. It's not like there's a natural geographic border along the political border separating the good, fertile, opportunity-rich soil from the absolute shit below it.
Face it. The Mexicans fail at civilization. They have a perfectly fine portion of the Earth to themselves, but they fucked it up. There's no doubt in my mind that they'll do the same here if enough of them come into this country. Hell, you can already see it happening.
