This happened a very, very long time ago in the 80's. Everybody was wearing TROOP one day, then after that happened, everybody threw their TROOP away. Plus, They DID use the Austrian eagle as their logo. The next time that I saw a symbol like that, It was on a skinhead with a swastika underneath.
I've heard similar rumors about Polo, but black people still wear polo to this day. Why? Because neither Polo co. and Ralph Lauren aren't racist. All of those other brands from the rumor page and such are still around and used by black people, WHY? Because there is no real proof of racism.
Troop is no longer around. Some people say no, some people say yes. The internet is not a good source on this kind of thing. ANYBODY can build a web-page and say anything they want. The fact that the Wikipedia stuff being totally new to me is proof of that.
Anyhoo, If I had never mentioned TROOP, would you even be aware of it's existence? In order to substantially prove this, I would have to scour the news sources of the time and find the proof. Just not worth it. I wasn't making a characterization on other races or anything. Just pointing out what I saw over twenty years ago. It doesn't matter one bit today.
