SAITAMA — Police served fresh arrest warrants Friday on two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of killing a disabled homeless man by hurling firebombs to set his dwelling on fire last October in the city of Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, police officials said. On Thursday, two other teenage boys — an 18-year-old high school student and a 15-year-old junior high school student — were arrested on suspicion of killing the homeless man, Makoto Amazutsumi, 60.
Investigations show that the suspects threw several gasoline-filled bottles toward the area beneath a river bridge, where Amazutsumi was living, early on Oct 22, 2005. Amazutsumi, who had leg disabilities, could not flee the fire and was burned to death, the police said.
