In 2050 Hispanics will be the majority in US?

I've read a couple of predictions in yahoo news stories that they expect hispanics to be the marjority in the US in aproximately 2050.

Could this be true?

How would it affect the US culture?

Is the upper class (Bush, etc) doing a cut and burn (spending everything and taking everything that isn't nailed down) in preparation for this?

Nah. African-Americans are far bettern than Latinos when it comes to attitude about themselves. I've seen more self-hating Latinos or whitewashed Latinos than self-prouding latinos.
