In 2050 Hispanics will be the majority in US?

I've read a couple of predictions in yahoo news stories that they expect hispanics to be the marjority in the US in aproximately 2050.

Could this be true?

How would it affect the US culture?

Is the upper class (Bush, etc) doing a cut and burn (spending everything and taking everything that isn't nailed down) in preparation for this?

YOUR opinion matters?

Hmm hmm yes yes... and interesting mix of opinions here, but are we all in agreement that the US is no longer a country of immigration and that it needs to be reduced to prepare for the future?
