i agree with your concept of it's purpose.
but let's face it, the only possibility for world peace is through a hivemind consciousness.
and since humans are by their very nature corrupt, even if a hivemind is achieved, the species will always try to break free.
humans will always seek freedom.
freedom to be individuals, free to make their own mistakes.
free to test the depths of the corruption that lies in their hearts.
screw it, world government is needed to enslave the species in order to protect it from its own corruption in the form of its dangerous concept of freedom.
