it doesn't seem like anyone would want to participate, but with how things are, it would probably evolve out of countries' revolutions to come as well as religious wars and be quite hard to predict
it was difficult to see ww2 coming 10 years before Hitler took control and attacked Poland and Africa
then Italy jumped on shit as for no great reason than to avoid germany's ire and japan was like make Asia 1 country by killing everyone
if it came out of the middle east, I'd expect it to not be big enough to be a "world" war, but possibly involve: US, Israel, possibly Russia, (anyone else who actually feels responsible for joining the UN, and being dumb enough to make Israel) against a bunch of Muslims from the middle east and africa and end in crushing defeat of the muslims' weaker technology

More like just based on Call of Duty. Iran is isolationist (Don't listen to Ahmadinejad, he has no real power), Russia isn't interested in warring with anyone, China would never attack the US and vise versa; they both need each other to maintain their lifestyles. Egypt just doesn't matter.

Usa+Nato vs. Iran, China, Russia, probably some other Arab countries.
USA will take control of Syria to stabilize the petrodollar and their next target will be Iran. Iran being the last border for the US' oil domination in the middle east will gain massive support from Russia and China.
Shit is going to go down probably through a false flag action where Iran attacks Israel, of course with the full consent of Israel.
