The correct answer is to read both The Huffington Post and The Guardian and not to exclusively rely on just one or the other.

The Guardian is a printed Newspaper- it does more independent research and has a long history. I'd go with that one, although it is very English. For balance, I'd also recommend Spectator and Japan Times for a more distanced view.
