Oh China, where is the Panchen Lama?? When the Panchen Lama was identified according to strict Buddhist religious techniques, China decided to intervene. They kidnapped the six-yea old boy in 1995 and he has not been seen since. This is the world's youngest political prisoner. And nobody has seen him or his family since he was kidnapped. It is believe that he has been beaten and tortured and is currently under house arrest. However, nothing is confirmed and China refuses to let international bodies meet him to confirm his health and well-being. Preposterous!

I hear the Panchen Lama is now brainwashed by the Chinese Communists, and they now want to personally choose the next Dalai Lama, when he passes away or if his claim to retire actually happens. I think it's to control the Tibetan population so that they can eventually become Maoists.
