I'm neither a union member nor a Federal worker and I have Monday off. Perhaps OP just has a shit job and is a bitter Republican who somehow has to convince himself that it's not the fault of greedy corporations and their government puppets that he's stuck in a shit job that doesn't give him Labor Day off.
