South Sudan and Mid East Rebellion

Name: Anonymous 2011-07-11 11:12

Srs business. South Sudan is a country now and a shit ton of Middle Eastern countries are in periods of rebellion. Is this a pattern? Is the whole Middle East soon going to be free of totalitarian and theocratic regimes? Does South Sudan's foundation represent an extension of the Middle Eastern rebellions? Is it a break from the old, poorly divided Africa? Is it a good thing? Or is it just more of the same fighting? Discuss.

Of course it's good...

The whole world needs a fresh healthy dose of revolution.

Agreed, Sudan's conflicts are almost completely separate from what is going on in the Middle East right now. Apart from a lot of Sudan being Muslim, they share very few commonalities with Arabs.

>"Is the whole Middle East soon going to be free of totalitarian and theocratic regimes?"

Absolutely not.  The most accurate statement would be: "under new management"

Only a truly retarded idiot would think Muslims and the Middle East will ever be free of totalitarian and theocratic regimes. The rebels are generally as bad, if not worse than the governments they seek to overthrow.

Islamic culture and religion make liberty and freedom impossible.

I wonder if they're going for another TLD.  I can see why they haven't gone for .ss, because that was just asking for trouble.
