2 Detroit men charged with killing owner of Dearborn beauty supply shop

Dearborn — Two Detroit men accused of murdering a 60-year-old beauty supply shop owner were arraigned this morning on charges that could keep them in prison for the rest of their lives.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Tanaka Jayvon Wells, 19, and Ronnie Lamont Mathews, 18, with the March 15 slaying of Jay Shin. He was shot to death during the robbery of the Sunrise Beauty Supply shop in the 4900 block of Schaefer in Dearborn.

The men face three counts each of armed robbery and one count each of felony murder. Wells also is charged in an arrest warrant with one count of felony firearm.
Judge Mark Somers, of the 19th District Court went through the charges. The men each answered "yes" or "yes, sir" when they were asked if they understood the counts...
