That's a common misconception of the Christian belief, you don't earn points to go to heaven, you do through believing in Jesus and living his way¹. Also there is suffering in the world because we are disobeying God, so its just not Adam and Eves fault, so sin is still around. Heaven as the Bible presents it is not the airy fairy sitting in clouds junk that the media perpetuates, it is a new earth, this one will be scorched to the ground when Jesus comes the second time.
¹ I would just like to point out that many people claim they are Christians but often don't live like it or leave it to Sundays only in the end they are just merely creating a facade...

Everyone will be judged with Jesus' second coming. If you don't believe in him and his death that cleansed you from sin and live a Godly life, then you will enter hell. Even Christians are exposed to errors, we aren't perfect.
I believe many people are turned off from Christianity because off those who always asserting that Christianity is always right and everything else wrong. As a Christian, our role is to relay the message (that Jesus died to save us from sin and live Godly lives) to everyone, not to enforce our belief onto others, not everyone will believe, some will but will be consumed by the world (ie turn away from God) and others will continue onwards.
And for those who want proof that God exists, just turn towards the Bible, many witnesses and believers have been imprisoned and executed for this belief, many more mocked and kicked out of home and jobs. So why would so many people die for a false belief?
P.S. Darwin was a Christian.
