It was a comedy TV stunt, but red-faced authorities guarding APEC leaders in Sydney could not see the funny side.
A team from the satirical ABC TV program The Chaser's War on Everything breached the multi-million dollar APEC security operation by driving a fake motorcade through security checkpoints.
After they did it the NSW Police who are enjoying being Jack Booted Nazi Thugs for a week arrested them. They've been going around the last week, dressed up like spies, photographing people who might attend a protest rally and generally carrying on like self important pricks. The NSW Police Minister David Campbell said he didn't think the Chaser prank was funny and he wanted to throw the book at them. Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer said "Whatever you think of the humour of the Chaser ... they were clearly not going to harm anybody in a physical way. They presumably were, as is the nature of their show, aiming to humiliate a lot of well-known people." I guess Downer can take a joke but Fucktard David Campbell can't.
Any government or establishment that can't find the humor in how it operates, should be liberally dusted with Anthrax spores.

Those stuck up fags shouldn't arrest them for humiliating them and exposing the APEC "security" what a lump of shit it is. If anything they should be knighted for saving Howard's ass from the "terrorists"

No wonder NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione and NSW Police Force Detective Superintendent Ken McKay are so angry at the Chaser Team. Chase showed that despite a $160M budget their security is a complete joke. Instead of whining like spolit brats these two sloppy cops should hand in their resignations. Talk about incompetent!
