My goodness, you Internet people have overlooked a far more significant piece of evidence [“why are them Jewish people so smart?”] : Jewish culture has a deep respect for learning.  Other cultures, including my own, have a deep respect for drinking and fighting, and kicking glasses-wearing nerds in the ass.  So, regardless of the quality of brain, a Jewish child raised in the Jewish culture is going to have lots of encouragement to develop that walnut-shaped part of the body that many other cultures don't tend to concentrate on very much.
