Japan is the most racist country

Many Japanese people are extremely racist. They think every non-Japanese person except White people are inferior. Japanese people especially love to insult Koreans and Chinese. On 2ch and 2chan, there are many racists who insult Korea. There is
even a special board called "Nida" on 2ch for people to insult Korea. Japan is the most racist country in the world. I am very ashamed of this sad fact.

You shouldn't be afraid of going to Japan. We are very polite to foreigners/tourists actually, but I honestly think Japanese are two-faced. I am not racist by the way... but whatever. Maybe I am. I am just ashamed that Japan is like this.

My French cousins said when they visited Japan everyone automatically assumed the were american and spoke perfect english, and people would randomly ask them questions like "do you have so and so in the US?" or "What is it like in america?"

Well, it get ultra hard with koreans, but it's quite easy to tell difference between Chinese and Japanese. Most noticably Japanese tend to be whiter than Chinese, but there are other feautures too. Also Chinese chicks are more ugly.

Japan, Korea and China all share a violent past, and events  such as Koizumi visiting the Yasukuni shrine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasukuni) often aggrivate those tensions. Japan has done some horrible stuff to Korea and China, but most young people here (I'm an American in Japan) don't care.. it's just the older, Nationalistic politicians who have too much pride to change things. For example, the Chinese protests over the Japanese textbook that omitted mentioning the Rape of Nanjing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_of_nanjing).

However, America also has a pretty fucked-up past with Japan, and I'm glad that most Japanese don't try and blame me for the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - something I had no part in. But I've seen in high school surveys where Japan was much more favorable to Americans over their Asian neighbors, so it could be a biased observation.

Of course on 2ch there's going to be racism - just look at /b/. Yet, I don't think that many of these people are serious at all, but just looking for a fun time to mercilessly bash one another for no reason at all. No doubt the effects of Anonymity and groupthink are the same for the Japanese and Americans alike (not trying to exclude the other English-speakers here). It might be the same where you can enjoy a racist joke in private among friends, even though none of you harbor true hatred against the people you're making fun of.

Then again, I'm not Japanese, haven't lived here that long, and I've only talked to younger Japanese people, but that's my impression.

The streets are not safer than anywhere else you have bad neighbourhoods and good neighboorhoods its not like japan is a crime free utopia.
The prices for rent and goods is through the roof so its not a ideal place to live you have to work long fucking hours ( if you want a decent job) as well so it sucks to work there .

Have you actually bothered to compare crime rates in Japan to other countries? America looks like World War fucking 3 compared to Japan.
I also assume you've never travelled to Japan either. This is common knowledge, but they have vending machines all over the place.. some of which are in the middle of nowhere, no security, no cameras, nothing. I was there for a little over a year and I never came across one vending machine that was damaged + contents stolen. However, I stay in America for a month and come across half a dozen Coke Machines busted in.

So where I live you have vending machines that are not damaged and crime is on the up here mostly organised crime but still and just because you dont see it does not mean it isn't there maybe not petty crime but i am pretty sure shop keepers and such are paying protection up the ass and note crime figures are calculated by reported crime's and dark numbers where they make a guess which is hardly acurate.

the same can be said about china there crime rate is relativly low if you look at the number off people living there cities are relativly safe and clean (smoq yes but the streets are clean).
