SAITAMA — Police served a fresh arrest warrant Wednesday on a man who was living with 11 women in Saitama for allegedly threatening a woman to get her to join the group, police said. Besides Hirohito Shibuya, 58, police arrested Chiaki Shibuya, 26, one of his former wives who was living with him, for conspiring with him to get the woman, then 25, to join the group, which included a baby.
Police said Chiaki met the woman where she was working as a part-timer and asked her to come to Shibuya's house in Higashiyamato, western Saitama, saying there was "a good fortune-teller." Shibuya and Chiaki threatened the woman last Aug 21 at Shibuya's house, telling her she would be "minced at a factory and killed if you do not live here," according to investigations.
