Who else is tired of hearing about Katrina? Get it over with already, FEMA completely screwed it up, there's toxic waste spills, massing looting and all... but nothing new. Donate money and look away. Lotus breast is more interesting than this.

The way the American media is downplaying, no--out right avoiding  reality is disgusting.

Here's some Reality.

I hope you like Cajun food because you're about to get some new neighbors, and they'll be around for years.  Started already with the college crowd, hasn't it?  I suggest you get to know them.

Make other plans for Mardi Gras (Rio, anyone?)

Hurricane season's peak is three weeks from now and there's two tropical depressions, one that might upgrade to hurricane today
out in the Atlantic.  They'll most likely go elsewhere of course.  Virgina, or maybe dead-on Dade county.

The large developers are already pitching:  "Now that the slums are 'gone' from 'America's Coasta Del Sol'...".

The longer things fester the worse it gets--and the sweeter the no-bid, cost-plus contracts.

Gas prices got ya'll down?  Ya'll say you're too poor to pump?  Lawd, lawd chillin' ya'll let a board member of friggin' CHEVRON become Sec of State.  WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?? 

Expect $5.00/gal by Thanksgiving, turkeys.  Just because they can.
