Drum and bass

I have a few questions for the people who make music(drum and bass specifically)

What programs do you use? Anything you recommend? Preferably free?
Is it hard to make music? Or is there a learning curve?
How time consuming is it?
Am I talking to the right people about this?

what you gotta do is not get free software, torrent real software, its so much better
and there is so many how to drum and bass videos on youtube for fl and some for other daws, youll get past the learning curve pretty fast. just dont limit yourself to dnb, all the best producers are familiar with many genres, you know

It's easy to make music. It's hard to make good music
