Hendrix Vs. Page

So which jimmy is better?

I say Hendrix. I like led zeppelin but page is very overrated. He's a excellent guitarist, but zeppelin fans are so biased towards any other guitar player to ever live. They all think, "page is the best because he played for led zeppelin". They don't base it on skill. I respect jimmy hendrix for what he accomplished during the time he was out. During that time a black man being famous or playing rock music, was totally unheard of. He had to get people to like him during the racist times and segregation, based on his skill. While page just so happened to play in a great band that had great players around him that made him sound better. So what is all of your opinions? Page or Hendrix?

Hendrix was far more influential, innovative and technically skilled. Hands down, not even a contest.

i don't really listen to either of them, but if i had to choose i'd say hendrix

jimmy page took his music too seriously imo

Hendrix is better than Page, but Garcia is miles ahead of Yorke.

Hendrix wins because of the bluesy influences he brought into much of his music, and his other highly influential advances in playing and writing for the guitar.

Garcia wins because the man could improvise your balls off. Yorke's great and all, very talented, and puts out great music, but there's something undeniably virtuoso about sitting a man down, yelling some chord changes out to him as a guy starts hammering on a piano, and letting him do his thing.
