Recommended an Opera in a different language

So, I've been constantly recommended the Ring Cycle by my usual assortment of hipster wanna be cultured faggot friends. I've got a torrent running of this in 192 kbps VBR and it sounds pretty awesome so far. The only issue being that I don't understand German at all, so how am I supposed to listen to this? Do I need to know the language to get the full experience, or can I get line by line translations somewhere or what? Or should I just pick up a DVD and watch it?

9.5 has some issues, I personally had to reinstall to get Java working

I still like it better than Firefox, though

You mean you want to listen to Wagner for the STORY??? If so, get a subtitled DVD complete with actors, costumes and shitty looking sets. At a real life performance you would get written translations.

You could also read a translation before listening to it, and then just concentrate on the music, while the story replays in your head.

I like singing along to opera.

In public.
