A friend introduced me to them and I'd say quite a few of their songs are great but most are kinda bland. I wanna get more of their songs but don't feel like downloading multiple Gigs.. anyone wanna suggest which albums to focus on?
Green Day had albums better than AI, but even those were utter shite. Listen to the Dropkick Murphys and Black Flag, too.

There is no such thing as a GOOD Green Day album they suck sooo much i cant even believe i just wrote "good green day album" in a sentence ewww they suck so much i think in flames is better even they suck as well. God they deserve to die!

Actually, their early stuff is the template for the emo sound as used by the emo pop bands of today. American Idiot actually has more than one melody in it, and is more like straight rock music. And since when was Green Day ever punk? When I first saw a video of theirs, I thought it was a new wave thing from 1983 that I somehow never saw before, not what I'd call punk. But then I also say that Elvis Costello never was what I'd call punk either, so whatever.
