I have a nub question; What does it means that a music was done in a determined scale? for example how you would recognize that pentatonic scale is found in Debussy's music?

first you find what key your in, ..thats your root, the first degree of the scale

a scale goes like this in degrees,
1 to 2 whole step
2 to 3 whole step
3 to 4 half setp
4 to 5 whole
5 to 6 whole
6 to 7 whole
7 to 8 (one an octive higher) half

C major scale example
CDEFGABC

if your grouping is in NATURAL minor its
1 to 2 whole step
2 to 3 half step
3 to 4 whole setp
4 to 5 whole
5 to 6 whole
6 to 7 half
7 to 8 (one an octive higher) whole

C nat minor
CDe(flat)FGAb(flat)C

so anyway if your looking at a musical staff, whole is one note up and half is half of a note up

determining a song you would need to either play the song and play an insturment to it and hear what the root is, (the main note of the song) and from there u find the key and you can find the chord pregression and ect but theres the theory lesson for the today

It means that the notes in the song equal a certain scale.  Say the notes are CDEFGABC, for example, then the song's key is obviously C Minor and the determined scale is C Minor. It just means that the song isn't just a bunch of random notes, but is actually written using a certain scale.
