Audacity Question

Anyone familiar with the program?  What I want to know is if there is anyway to record PERFECTLY from Stereo Mix, I've been trying to rip sound queues (and lines) from dvds to use them as ringtones, but every time I do it it sounds kind of... tinny.  Any idea how I go about fixing this?

Use the amplify tool damn

Audacity is like the GIMP but for sound. Use a program that doesn't suck ass, problem solved.

Seconded.  Digital Performer, or ProTools might be able to fix what you've already ripped, but
a) it's a long shot, and
b) you have to be fairly proficient at the program.
